"this is real, this is me"... THIS IS THE REAL ME!

My name is Christopher Sonny Moa. I'm the oldest of 2, half Samoan and half Japanese, and am probably the COOLEST PERSON YOU"LL MEET!!!

I'm fun loving, energetic and always up for something new!

C stands for CAUTION! and you should proceed with it, because I'm kind of a BIG DEAL! hahaha When I do something I do it BIG, LOUD, and PROUD! I'll be the first to admit that I'm somewhat of a narcissist, and self centered. But just because I like the spotlight, doesn't mean I crave it! I LIKE to be the center of attention, but LOVE for everyone to feel comfortable and welcome! And if that means lookin like a fool to get everyone laughin, or the one to give you that awkward/aggressive push, then I'M YOUR MAN! I love life and try to live it to the fullest everyday! I'm always on the go and always have to be doing something whether it's dancing in the mirror or runnin around town, but like everyone I need a chillax day where the furthest I go is to the fridge! hahaha One of my biggest fears in life is being forgotten. So if we meet you can bet your bottom dollar, that I'll do or say something that you'll remember me by!

H stands for "HOME-YS." I'd be nothing and no where if it wasn't for my home skillet biscuit family and friends! These people are so many things to me, and I get so much from them!
Growing up I was taught that no matter what, family is always first! My family is made up of so many different characters and I love'em all and wouldn't trade any of them for the world! My dad is my INSPIRATION. Even though he's no longer with us, he still inspires me every single day to live life to the fullest and to strive to be all that I can. My dad was the nicest/funniest guy that I've ever known! It was a rare occasion for him to be angry or quiet. Everyone loved hearing his stories and jokes (unless they were about you!)  I like to think I got my witt and humor from him. He will never be forgotten, and I wish someday to be just like him.
My Mom is my ROCK. She has been and always will be there for me. My dad called her "ELMER'S" cause she's the glue that holds our family together. She's my best friend and always pushes me to do better. I get my backbone from my mom. She's always taught me to voice my opinion and not let others influence the things I do. She's the reason for my Independence, and sometimes it backfires with as much as we argue hahaha But I love my mom ta death, and would not know what to do without this "ANGEL" in my life.
My sister...oh geez! hahaha No, she is the ying to my yang, the pain in my ASS! lol jk Honestly she is my OTHER HALF. We are complete opposites which is why we are constantly bumping heads. But as much as we argue, I love that lil trunchable! hahaha When we fight it can get bad, but when we're getting along, you'd think that we never fought! And now that we're both getting older we get along alot more often, which I love and can't wait to continue! I constantly see so much of my dad in her, with her art, her sense of humor, and her outlook on life! She has so much potential and (when applied) does wonders! From her I get...other then headaches (lol) a best friend for life! I can always count on her to come through for me when it counts and to always have my back!
I have so many cousins and friends that are my FREEDOM! They are my outlet for all my energy! They're always their for me for anything at anytime! They are the ones that keep me grounded and level-headed. From them I get memories and stories to last me 3 lifetimes! My favorite memories are with them and they've only started! To mention them all individually would take ages, because there are so many things that I love about each and everyone of them! I'm so blessed to be surrounded with an amazing group of people!

R stands for Residence Inn. It is and has been my place of employment for the last 5 years of my life! It was on and off for a bit, but I've been back and loving it! I started there right when I turned 16 (first job) as a waiter in the kitchen, then doubled up with the front desk, then left for a while, and came back as front desk. And since the start of 2011 I'm their sales coordinator! I assist our sales manager, and book groups, meetings, events, and parties! I can truly say that I love my job! I love waking up, not dreading work, and the main reason for that is because of my AWESOME co-workers, and managers! They are what make my days hilarious, fun, and yet productive! At the Residence Inn we know how to have a good time, but keep it classy at the same time!

I stands for In it to win it! I'm SUPER competitive and love a good challenge! And I think alot of it comes from my friends and family, who are as well! I like challenging myself at work to strive to be the best, and to accomplish all that I can. When it comes to sports, no matter the game, I play hard, and I play to WIN! My favorite sport is definitely VOLLEYBALL! I've grown up with my family playing for as long as I can remember! To this day we still play whenever we can! And we all play to win, whether on the same team or not, and sometimes it gets out of control but is fun no matter what! We have a long line of setters in our family, and if you know the game of volleyball, you'll know that a team can't function without one! Not braggin or anything, but all the setters in my fam who played in high school  were ALL team captains! "just sayin..." hahaha But really volleyball is not only a sport in our family, but yet just another reason for us all to get together for more fam fun!

S stands for STEP ASIDE! And I suggest you do just that, if you's be sippin on that Haterade! My life is so full of amazing things and people that I have no room for HATERS and NEGATIVITY! I'm all about moving forward and "positive outcomes only!" I'm at a point in my life where I'm "makin moves" and don't need anyone holding me back, but people there to encourage and support me, and right now I have exactly that and am always welcoming more; in return I'll do the same for you! One of my favorite quotes is "REPUTATION COMES FROM THE COMPANY YOU KEEP." I truly am a believer of this and only surround my self with positive people!

Today's Drink: "A tall glass of water" (me) with an extra helping of AWESOME-NESS!

D(i)ETERMINATION

Does anyone else notice that the root of the word "diet" is in fact DIE?....just me? lol I feel that there is reason for that. You basically feel like you are dying when you restrict yourself from certain food groups, an amount of calories or even portions of food! Those people are crazy right? Yes WE are! I say we cause I, along with a few co-workers are grouped with the rest of these crazies.

I feel that in order to diet, that determination is needed, along with motivation to workout. Lets face it, if you're having a handful of almonds and water for each of your meals daily in hopes of losing weight, your not only PATHETIC, but also waisting your time! About 2 months ago 5 of my co-workers and I started a weight loss program/bet. We each threw in $20 and who ever lost the most weight at the end of 3 months, walked away, not only with $120 in his/her wallet, but bragging rights as well! For the first time in our little competition, I'M IN THE LEAD! Sure we only have 2 weeks left and its only by a pound, but none the less I'M WINNING! Earlier in the competition I went 2 weeks without carbs and lost 7lbs total! It was HELL! I got to the point to where I would make notes of what I was going to have once my 2 week cycle was over. I even dreamt of carbs (ice cream, donuts, and BREAD!) I still think it was and is pathetic, but it gave me an edge in the competition; and I'm currently debating whether to start the madness again and up my workouts for these last 2 weeks?! Although its not much, but I could sure use that money, and I'm always up for bragging and boasting around! hahaha

This morning I had set my alarm 2 hours early so I could go running and workout before work......ya I snoozed right through it! When I got into work I felt like crap! Not only out of guilt, or because it was a Monday, but because I only had a bowl of corn flakes for breakfast YUM! And usually I would tough through it lookin forward to lunch. But all I had to look forward to was carrots, celery sticks with peanut butter and dried mangos! YUM x2! I actually do like those foods, and have it pretty often for lunch if not a salad; but today I was so wanting to smash on the $6 shroom burger with fried zucchini from Carl's Jr. hahaha seriously though I've been craving that FOREVER!! The rest of the work day was busy and kept my mind off of food, which was good. After I got off I came home and decided to keep the motivation going by working out and went running. By the time I was done with that, I had to hurry and get ready to go to see Super 8 with the crew. If you know me, then you know I'm not huge into alien/sci-fi movies; but I do like intense suspense! Overall I would have to say the movie was indeed, "MINT!!" and would recommend it!

MUGged

For those of you that follow me on facebook, regardless what my post said, it WAS NOT my birthday! Although I may have celebrated last night like it was hahaha...But we'll get to that later.

So as planned nothing went as planned yesterday(with the fam at least) lol but that's kind of our style and the way things usually go, so I guess you could say we're consistent at being inconsistent...if that makes sense? Anyways so out of the 2 weddings, I only made it to 1 (my best friend's sisters) And it was more of a wedding/high school reunion/unfortunate encounter. As we were waiting in line to see the bride and groom, I'm looking around at the other guests, and recognize alot of faces of kids that I went to high school with?! It was weird but kind of neat to catch up with everyone there, I almost forgot the main reason that we were there in the first place. Also in the line with us was one of my best friends ex's, that we all knew and who I personally didn't care for. The guy talked to everyone else in our group EXCEPT ME! And given our history I'm not surprised, but I at least thought he would have been an adult about it and tried to be cordial.

We didn't stay long cause there was alot of people, and there was only a dessert bar and we were all starving! So we relocated to Texas Roadhouse, which was probably just as crowded with people and familiar faces as the wedding was. As we're pulling in I get a text saying that my friend's ex joined our group now, and couldn't wait for more tension! yay! We get seated and of course I'm sitting across from him, and decided to see how long he would let the awkwardness continue, because you could tell it was putting an awkward vibe on the entire table. So after of 10 or 15 minutes of the continued high school games, I finally break the ice and say hello, and from their we start chatting and he's an ok guy but I'll still keep him at arm's distance.
Surprisingly enough, that whole thing wasn't the most awkward/uncomfortable part of dinner! As everyone's closing out their bills and getting ready to go, I hear our waitress screaming "We have a birthday here!", as she's pushing a huge horse saddle on wheels to our table! Apparently my friend's dad told the waitress it was my birthday. So now I'm surrounded with like 10 waiters telling me to straddle the saddle as they sing their cheesy restaurant version of happy birthday! So that was the reasoning for the FB post, and I tried getting a picture from one of my friends at the table, but they all recorded it, so a video may be coming soon! lol As for the celebrating I did for my fake birthday.....I can't really say, cause I don't really remember, I know, I know irresponsible and reckless Chris! lol What I do remember is that it started with a few friends getting together for games, and than a few bailed and it ended up being only three of us; but with my friends not only is three a crowd, but a PARTY! And then the celebrating ended with me being helped into my house around 4 this morning and then getting a text (along with a headache) this afternoon as a wake up call?!

So due to last night's celebrating, today has been very low key. Not only cause a lack of energy, but also lack of funds. Apparently there was a number of mysterious transactions that took place last night and this morning, that I'll get to the bottom of tomorrow as I'm going over my bank statement. So I was "mugged" by myself, and choices that I'm now kicking myself for.

And after looking at the pages that I'm following, I've noticed that I've yet to do an "Introduce yourself" blog. That along with pix will be coming very soon.

Today (now that I'm finally up and ready) feels like its gonna a CUH-RAY-ZEE day! There's alot to do and we're gettin a late start! Missed our workout this morning, but will start up the workout routine again on Monday......hopefully.

While everyone's gettin ready, I thought I'd update my blog with the days events!

We're all gettin ready now for a last minute fam bbq that was thrown together last minute...typical. I have 2 WEDDINGS to attend, but will probably only go to 1 unfortunately, but I still have to go pick up my suit and go buy a matching tie. and then I'm hopin that we close out the night with volleyball tonight with everyone! I highly doubt things will go accordingly or as scheduled (cause they rarely do with our family) lol

Today's drink: Caramel Macciato with a non-fat workout, and a double shot of weddings...hold the work out and easy on the drama!

Blogging 101

So apparently blogging has become the new trend among my cousins, but I feel this one will actually last. hahaha For the past couple of days all they've been talking about is their new blogs and how everyone should get one, so here we are......After filtering through thousands of page names, and designing my page, I've officially joined the BLOG DOGS of the fam! So as I and we learn more about this thing called "blogging" my page and entries will be more cool and exciting than they already are! Until then any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
